The Chicago Bulls traded 7-foot center Aaron Gray(notes) to the New Orleans Hornets for guard Devin Brown(notes) yesterday and it appears that the team isn't done dealing. The Daily Herald predicts that the team will send Kirk Hinrich(notes) or John Salmons(notes) packing in exchange for an expiring contract.

The hope in Chicago, apparently, is to get as much salary-cap space as possible by the time the Feb. 18 trading deadline comes in order to have a good chunk of room to add a big free agent this summer.

Of course everybody else wants to clear salary off their books right now, too, in anticipation for the athletic smorgasbord that will be laid out this summer so such a deal won't be easy to swing by the Bulls.
