BOSTON - Hackers have flooded the Internet with virus-tainted spam that targets Facebook's estimated 400 million users in an effort to steal banking passwords and gather other sensitive information.

The emails tell recipients that the passwords on their Facebook accounts have been reset, urging them to click on an attachment to obtain new login credentials, according to anti-virus software maker McAfee Inc.

If the attachment is opened, it downloads several types of malicious software, including a program that steals passwords, McAfee said on Wednesday.

Hackers have long targeted Facebook users, sending them tainted messages via the social networking company's own internal email system. With this new attack, they are using regular Internet email to spread their malicious software.

A Facebook spokesman said the company could not comment on the specific case, but pointed to a status update the company posted on its web site earlier on Wednesday warning users about the spoofed email and advising users to delete the email and to warn their friends.

McAfee estimates that hackers sent out tens of millions of spam across Europe, the United States and Asia since the campaign began on Tuesday.

Dave Marcus, McAfee's director of malware research and communications, said that he expects the hackers will succeed in infecting millions of computers.

"With Facebook as your lure, you potentially have 400 million people that can click on the attachment. If you get 10 percent success, that's 40 million," he said.

The email's subject line says "Facebook password reset confirmation customer support," according to Marcus.

UNITED NATIONS – The U.N. Development Program (UNDP) has named Spanish actor Antonio Banderas as a "Goodwill Ambassador" for the global fight against poverty, the agency announced on Wednesday.

The UNDP said Banderas will use his celebrity status to draw attention to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), a set of targets aimed at halving world poverty by 2015 by combating hunger, disease, illiteracy, pollution and discrimination against women.

"Poverty robs us of our potential as a people, preventing us from being all that we can be," Banderas said in a statement. "This is why it is so important to mobilize all of our efforts to defeat it."

UNDP chief Helen Clark said Banderas' "proven commitment to the causes of the less fortunate makes him an ideal advocate for our work."

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned U.N. member states on Tuesday that progress toward achieving the MDGs has been uneven, and stepped-up efforts would be needed to meet the targets for many countries.

Banderas, 49, was born in Malaga, Spain. He is an actor, author, singer and producer. He is currently writing, directing and producing a film about Boabdil, or Abu Abdullah Muhammad XII, the last Muslim ruler of Granada, Spain.

Other UNDP Goodwill Ambassadors include tennis star Maria Sharapova, Japanese actress Misako Kono and Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway.

MANILA, Philippines – The concert of People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao in Hawaii has been canceled due to poor ticket sales, an online report said.

Honoluluadvertiser.com reported that promoters of the Pacquiao concert had called it off due to low ticket sales.

Quoting Ryan Chang of Island Fire Productions, the report said only 603 tickets have been sold 4 days before the show. Chang said the promoters needed to sell 2,500 tickets to break even, according to the online report.

The concert, dubbed as "Manny Pacquiao Live In Hawaii Concert Celebration," was supposed to be held at the 8,500-capacity Waikiki Shell this coming Sunday.

Ticket prices ranged from $25 to $150. The highest-priced seats, the report said, included a meet-and-greet with the Filipino boxing icon.

Chang told Honoluluadvertiser.com that he would suffer “about $50,000 loss” if it pushed through.

Honoluluadvertiser.com quoted Chang as saying: "I don't know what to say about what happened. We thought Hawaii would appreciate bringing him in and 25 bucks is pretty cheap and reasonable. We needed to either pull out now or make about $175,000 to break even. I couldn't risk dropping that much for my investors."

Pacquiao held a concert-party in his 2 previous fights. Recently, following his successful match with Joshua Clottey, Pacquiao and his band held a victory concert-party at the Dallas Rangers Ballpark where he and his supporters partied the night away.

The reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion belted tunes with Lito Camo, Madonna Decena and the MP Band. Journey front man Arnel Pineda, who sang the Philippine National Anthem, also joined in the fun.

During a recent interview with The Philippine Star, Joshua Clottey said WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao would be a very tough opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao won a dominating twelve round decision over Clottey last Saturday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Clottey says Pacquiao's high level of activity will present a lot of issues for Mayweather.

“To be frank with you, the fight will be very, very tough for Mayweather,” said Clottey. Pacquiao is very fast and he keeps on throwing punches. Mayweather doesn’t throw too much. So, Manny will give him problems. Lots of problems."

Clottey did very little in the fight. His comments to The Star give the same message that most insiders believed was the truth - Clottey was happy to go the distance and finish on his feet.

“I think I did my best. But Manny Pacquiao has defeated almost everybody and he knocked them out,” said Clottey. “Unfortunately, I lost. I did what I can. I did my best. Maybe next time I can improve."

Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach told the paper Clottey's safety-first style killed his chances to return to HBO, and to receive a future title shot on the network.

“He was satisfied with going the distance with Manny Pacquiao. And he did. But HBO will never use him again. They told me. If you fight for a world title, you don’t go on a survival mode. You try to win the title cause you know one it’s a once in a lifetime. He’ll never get another title shot in his life,” Roach said.

On the last day of their three-day trip to Poland, today, March 17, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall met Polish soldiers on their way to Afghanistan. The royal couple traveled to Wesola to meet Poland's 1st Armoured Brigade. They witnessed a mock ambush and gunfight which had Camilla sticking fingers in her ears against the noise, to the apparent amusement of Prince Charles.

The Prince and Duchess met families of those going to Afghanistan; the couple reportedly had some sympathy for the long separation since Prince Harry and Prince William are both in the military; Prince Harry, who recently passed his helicopter training, is considered likely to return to Afghanistan.

Prince Charles also talked to a sniper wearing white clothing as disguise against the snow. Poland has had troops in Afghanistan since 2002 and now has over 2,600 soldiers in the Middle Eastern country. Before they left, the couple was presented with a coffee table book about Poland.

After the military visit, the Royals toured Poland's Royal Castle, destroyed by the Nazis and completely rebuilt between 1971 and 1984. They have now flown to Hungary in time for a state dinner and the next three-day leg of their tour.

Junior welterweight Devon Alexander has arrived. This past Saturday, the boxing world took notice as Alexander made quite a debut on HBO. He boxed his way to a eight round knockout of Juan Urango to unify the WBC and IBF titles. Urango had never been stopped in any of previous fights, and that includes taking hard punches in recent fights with Randall Bailey and Andre Berto. Prior to the Alexander loss, Urango had only been down once, against a pure puncher like Bailey, and he still managed to get up and win by knockout.

After the victory, HBO's official website reports that Alexander received an endorsement from one of the best pound for pound fighters in the sport, Floyd Mayweather Jr. The unbeaten Mayweather, training for his May 1 clash with Shane Mosley, views Alexander as the next great fighter in our sport. "Money" made a phone call to "The Great" and told him on speakerphone [with others listening]:

"I just wanted to tell you, when I pass the torch - I'm passing it to you," Mayweather told Alexander.

It's happened to the best of us - you're out and about and suddenly realize that your phone is about to die. We all love rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, but they're not exactly an easy power source to replace while on-the-go.

That's where the Olice FvrOn mobile phone comes in. Available only in India (for now), it claims to be the country's first dual-powered cell phone. That means that while it does come with a standard rechargeable battery, it can also be powered via a standard AAA battery.

The device also has a built-in FM tuner, a 1.5-inch color display, and a packed-in stereo headset.

Well, it's certainly not an iPhone (you'd need 50 C batteries to charge that guy), but it is a novel idea for the minimalistic phone user. And it's nice to see that the Energizer bunny is still relevant to some capacity.

Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach says that he think that Pacquiao should get out of boxing and retire after a possible fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. next. Roach seems to be overlooking completely the threat that Pacquiao has in front of him with a fight against Joshua Clottey bearing down on the Filipino fighter on March 13th. But Roach must be feeling pretty confident about Pacquiao’s chances in that fight for him to look ahead the way he is for a fight against Mayweather.

In an article at the Washingtonpost, Roach says “I’ve told Manny I’d like him to retire as a fighter after that [the fight against Mayweather, if there ever is one]. I want him healthy, wealthy and happy. I don’t ever want him having to take all the medication I have to take. I might retire too. I’ve been doing this a long time.”

A fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao would give not only both Pacquiao and Mayweather a huge million dollar payday, but Roach would get a nice payday as well. He might not need to train anymore fighters if he doesn’t want to after a mega fight like Mayweather-Pacquiao. However, it’s unclear whether Pacquiao or his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank feel the same way that Roach does about the retirement talk. Pacquiao still has a number of big money opponents in front of him besides just Mayweather.

There’s not a lot of them, but there’s more than a few starting with Edwin Valero, a rematch with Miguel Cotto if he wins the WBA light middleweight title over Yuri Foreman in June [this would give Pacquiao a chance to win his 8th world title, something he has talked about wanting], a fight against Amir Khan, Saul Alvarez, Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander or even Paul Williams.

Provided that Pacquiao continues to age well and fight often, there’s no reason to believe that he shouldn’t be able to squeeze in another six or seven fights before he hangs up the gloves. If I’m Pacquiao, I wouldn’t be listening to what Roach is saying about retirement. Pacquiao needs to listen to his body, and if he feels that he’s slowing down as a fighter, only then should he consider hanging up the gloves.

But right now, Pacquiao is dominating and isn’t showing any signs of going downhill as a fighter. If anything, Pacquiao appears to be getting better still. He seems to be one of those Bernard Hopkins type fighters that gets better with age rather than declines. He could have another four to six good years left him if he wants to.

At the very least, Pacquiao can dominate for another few years if he wants to. Pacquiao needs to go after the easy fights after he fights Mayweather. Valero, Cotto, and Khan would be the ideal fights for Pacquiao to take in that order. None of those fighters will last long against Pacquiao, and he’d be able to win those fights without taking a lot of wear and tear in the process.

I expect Mayweather to get by Shane Mosley in May, which is why I didn’t include Mosley on the list of fighters that Pacquiao should fight. However, if Mosley does beat Mayweather, then he is the next guy that Pacquiao should be going after and not Mayweather.

As far as Roach does with his retirement talk, if he wants to retire then by all means he can do that. But he needs to let Pacquiao be and not be trying to have him follow his own personal vision for him.

Freddie Roach, the brilliant trainer for Manny Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KO’s), says that they will be trying to get a knockout win over the usually steel-chinned Joshua Clottey on March 13th. Roach says in article at Sport.stv.tv, “We’re going to throw [Clottey] off in the first four rounds. He has never been attacked like this before.” Roach then later predicted a 6th round knockout win for Pacquiao. There you have it. Roach is planning on sending Pacquiao out on an attack mission to try and score an early knockout against Clottey.

I sure hope Roach isn’t sorry for his brilliant fight plan against Clottey. I mean Clottey isn’t the type of fighter that most welterweights try to knock out. Mostly, they try to just survive a bout with Clottey and win it without getting beaten up so badly. This should be a fun bout to watch, especially if Pacquiao makes the mistake of bum rushing Clottey early in the fight like Roach says he’s going to have him do. I can just see it now.

Pacquiao rushes madly at Clottey, throwing wild shots as he follows Roach’s brilliant fight strategy to the letter and promptly gets knocked on his backside by one of Clottey’s big left hooks. I wonder if and/when Pacquiao gets knocked down early in the fight whether Roach will have the presence of mind to change his strategy for Pacquiao in the fight by having him box rather than slug?

I can’t see Roach changing a thing until Clottey starts putting a serious hurting on Pacquiao. It may take a little more for Roach to back off with his grand strategy of trying to having Pacquiao “overwhelm” Clottey with punches. Maybe when Pacquiao starts getting bloodied and battered Roach will come to his senses and back off and start barking some new orders for Pacquiao. I just hope by then Pacquiao has enough of his senses left in his head to follow Roach’s glorious advice.

There’s going to be a point of no return for Pacquiao in this fight. Once Clottey hurts Pacquiao with something or has him cut and bleeding, I see it pointless for Roach to bother with changing course for Pacquiao. By then, Clottey will have him right where he wants him and will dominate or stop the Filipino fighter. Pacquiao fights badly when he’s cut, so if Clottey opens up a cut on him, he’s as good as done.

Roach can tell Pacquiao whatever and it won’t matter. Clottey will go after Pacquiao and finish him off like he’s hunting a wounded animal. But something tells me that Roach will stubbornly stick to his vision of having Pacquiao overwhelm Clottey, even when things are looking bleak for Pacquiao.

Like a person whose car is stuck in 5th gear, I think Roach will stay the course and keep Pacquiao bum rushing Clottey just so he can be right about his original prediction of an early knockout victory for Pacquiao. I mean it won’t be Roach’s who has to take the pulverizing shots from Clottey; it will be Pacquiao who’s stuck following Roach’s crazy plan of overwhelming Clottey.

That’s like trying to ram the Titanic through a huge iceberg. It isn’t going to happen. Pacquiao is going to take a royal beating by Clottey, and Roach is going to have a lot of egg all over his face in this one. They might as well have me train Pacquiao, because I could come up with a much better plan than bum rushing Clottey and trying to overwhelm him with punches.

Farrah Fawcett's omission from the 2010 Oscars is still causing an uproar -- first it was a friend who spoke out against the Academy, and now it's Ryan O'Neal. Farrah's longtime companion told Radar Online about his feelings following the "In Memoriam" snub:

“It was a terrible decision and very hurtful...Farrah was a member of the Academy for over 40 years and we could not believe she did not get a mention."

He added that both he and daughter Tatum planned on filing a letter of protest to the Academy over their decision. A number of other A-list celebrities -- from Patrick Swayze to Brittany Murphy to even Michael Jackson -- were all included in the tribute while Farrah, Bea Arthur, and Ed McMahon were all left out.

What do you think: is Ryan O'Neal right to be upset at the Oscars over Farrah's omission? Let me know what you think below and stay tuned for more news.

MANILA, Philippines – The world’s best pound-for-pound fighter Manny Pacquiao is all set for his clash with Ghana’s Joshua Clottey on March 13 in Texas (March 14 in Manila), with the pain in his leg gone and his condition still at superior level, a coach of the Filipino champion confirmed.

Conditioning coach Alex Ariza told Ronnie Nathanielsz of PhilBoxing.com that Pacquiao’s “footwork was great and Freddie (Roach) was very, very pleased with his footwork.”

“I’m so happy because I asked him (Pacquiao) about the leg and the leg is a hundred percent now,” he added.

The 7-division world champion reportedly suffered a leg injury while training in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The Filipino boxing superstar dismissed it as a mere sore muscle in his leg.

“Wala namang injury,” he told ABS-CBN News.

Roach noted, “It was just shin splints. It's not really an injury. It's more of a nuisance.”

Pacquiao earlier said that he is geared up for his welterweight title defense.

“Right now 100% conditioned na tayo, ready na tayo sa fight. Maintain na lang sa kundisyon,” he remarked.

Pacquiao is slated to put his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight belt on the line in “The Event” which will be held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

EAST RUTHERFORD - New Jersey's Chinese forward Yi Jianlian stayed home as the Nets began a four-game NBA road trip on Monday, nursing his sprained left ankle.

The Nets were due to open the trip in Memphis on Monday night against the Grizzlies.

Yi was injured Saturday night in the first quarter of the Nets' victory over the New York Knicks. It was New Jersey's seventh victory of the season.

The Nets must win three games over the last five weeks to avoid breaking the Philadelphia 76ers' record (9-73) for fewest wins in a season.

Yi, who scored three points on 1-of-4 shooting on Saturday, was injured when he stepped on a rival player's foot while rushing back into position on defense. The team said no bones were broken.

Yi, 22, is averaging 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds a game. The 7-foot (2.13m) forward is averaging 9.4 points and 5.7 rebounds a game for his NBA career.

DALLAS--Tiger Woods occasionally shanks a golf shot. He's hit a few deep into the woods or buried a "fried egg" into an impossible bunker.

The smooth Frank Sinatra's vocal inflections were usually superlatively consistent but, once in a while, even Mr. S, hit a clunker, a false musical note.

Manny Pacquiao, riding a rocketship of spectacular performances, is overdue for an off night, a fight in which he is not exceedlingly outstanding.

But, if I were plucky Joshua Clottey, I wouldn't expect Pacman's bad day at the office to occur at Cowboys Stadium next Saturday night.

If I were Clottey, I'd be expected to get KTFO'd.

If I wanted to go the weak-kneed route, the weasel way, I would predict Manny by UD12, a clearcut winner on the scorecards in Arlington.

But, after seeing Pacman spar nearly 20 rounds at the Wild Card Gym over the past week, I have to discard my usual "gymnasium is a liar" rule and go with what I saw firsthand.

At age 31, Manny remains wildly enthusiastic about being the Pound for Pound king of the ring.

Politics is a sideline, a hobby if you will, and no serious distraction.

The camp is humming with harmony. Formerly controversial agent Michael Koncz seems to have been fully accepted by the other guys on Team Pacquiao.

Koncz is a hard worker and quite productive. He's really not the bad egg he was portrayed to be.

He makes enemies, sure, by being the guy who has to say "no" to many Manny requests but he does his job and does it well.

The division of labor by all those in Manny's orbit appears to be serene, to be orderly.

But the scariest thing for Clottey now, and for Floyd Mayweather if he steps up later, is that Pacquiao continues to improve, continues to refine aspects of his fighting arsenal.

His footwork is beginning to resemble Baryshnikov's and he two handed combinations grow more precise and more forceful.

It would take a perfect storm for anyone, even the immensely talented Mayweather to detail the Pacquiao Express right now.

Unfortunately for Clottey, game but not so bleesed with such skills, the perfect storm is going to be hitting him in the face and in the body.

Blazing fast combinations will be coming at him in all directions.

Questions will be asked and Clottey won't have the answers.

A peaking Pacquiao scores a stoppage victory over the Ghanaian.

Your White Gorilla official prediction...

Manny Pacquiao by TKO 10. I am sorely tempted to chop two rounds off and make it TKO 8.

Colleague and friend John Chavez of Boxingtruth.com opines that Manny will only win a close decision.

"What will Manny do when his punches are always bouncing off Clottey's gloves" Chavez, known as the "Boxing Bookie," asks.

I will ignore this heretic, this dyspeptic skeptic.

Clottey will get chopped up so that he will leave the ring looking like ground chuck.

Steve Williams is the closest guy to Tiger Woods on the golf course. But off the course the caddie to the world's top player says he knew nothing of Woods' affairs.

Speaking for the first time about Woods' marital transgressions, Williams told New Zealand's "60 Minutes" he's mad at Woods and claims if he knew about the infidelities he would have ratted out his boss.

"Of course I am mad at him," Williams said. "I’m more disappointed that he’s let his family down and let himself down. If I’d known something was going on, the whistle would have been blown."

Like his boss, Williams is a millionaire, perhaps a first by a caddie, so he's not about to ruin his working relationship with Woods.

"I’m a friend right now," Williams added. "It’s not up to me to beat him with a stick. He’s getting enough grilling from everybody else. Obviously, at some point, I’ll have a conversation with him."

Williams' wife, Kirsty, also was interviewed for the New Zealand TV program. "Being so close to (Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren), he couldn’t know and not say something to her or to myself. He’s seen as a bad guy. People are calling for him to be fired. It’s not fair."

When Woods does decide to return to the golf course, Williams will be there. He also will handle hecklers and unruly fans if needed.

"Nothing changes," Steve Williams told Australian newspaper, The Sun-Herald. "There are always going to be people who are going to knock you ... Being the No. 1 player in the world and being as successful as Tiger has been, there have been people who have knocked him anyway. I am sure there might be a few more. It goes with the territory."

Yesterday's hospitalization of Crystal Bowersox had many wondering if she would appear on Wednesday night's American Idol.

The still undisclosed reason for her visit to the hospital lent some online hype about tonight's Top 10 Girls show on American Idol.

It was big talk on Twitter during the day and leading up to the broadcast of American Idol.

All the hype may have just been worth it for Crystal Bowersox. Judges gave her high praise for her rendition of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Long As I Can See the Light."

Even the typically negative Simon Cowell compared Bowersox's performance to the moment that they realized what they had in Kelly Clarkson.

Once Bowersox performed, Twitter went wild with praise for her singing, even though there were some nay-sayers out there who felt she got a little extra attention due to her visit to the hospital.

MANILA, Philippines – Undefeated American fighter Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has not yet put an end to his doping allegation against 7-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, even mentioning it during the press conference of his May 1 fight against compatriot Shane Mosley.

Mayweather even brought up Mosley’s doping history during the press conference held at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square, New York City.

“I can't say how many fights Shane has won in the past because we know Shane was using enhancement drugs. That's something we do know,” he said as quoted by the Associated Press.

Although Mosley did not react to Mayweather's statement, the boxers still had a minor scuffle during the press conference which prompted their team members to intervene.

Mosley admitted to taking steroids “unknowingly” in 2003 after being forced by a former strength and conditioning coach to do so as part of his training.

“It's no different than Pacquiao. I offered Pacquiao the fight. I said, ‘We'll give you $25 million.’ I never met a man who wouldn't take a $25 million drug test,” continued Mayweather.

He was slated to fight Pacquiao on March 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada but negotiations crumbled because they disagreed on the drug testing protocol.

Pacquiao even sued Mayweather and some of his team members for alleging that he was taking performance-enhancing drugs. The Filipino boxing superstar chose to fight Ghanaian Joshua Clottey on March 13 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mosley, on the other hand, was supposed to face Andre Berto in January but the Haitian’s family was affected by the devastating earthquake in the Caribbean nation.

Mayweather and Mosley have agreed to undergo random blood testing to ensure fairness ahead of their bout dubbed “Who R U Picking?”

Unknown outcome

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer explained the title of the May 1 pay-per-view event.

“The theme of this fight is ‘who are you picking?’ because when two champions of this caliber meet in the ring, you can expect nothing but an extremely competitive fight and an unknown outcome that will only reveal itself on May 1,” Schaefer said in a statement posted on PhilBoxing.com.

“Shane Mosley is one of the greatest fighters of this era and so is Floyd Mayweather, so it is a true gift that the fans will have the opportunity to see a fiercely competitive and fantastic night of boxing,” he added.

Mayweather has a 40-0 (with 25 knockouts) record while reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight super champion Mosley has 46 wins (with 39 KOs) and 5 losses.

The undefeated American said of his foe: “Not only does he have the skills, but he is also fast, strong and a very tough competitor. His speed and power won't mean much that night against my will and determination to dominate him inside the square circle. When I compete against the best, I am always at my best; so on May 1 the fans will see one great performance.”

Mosley, for his part, noted that his dream of fighting Mayweather is finally coming true.

“Floyd is excellent at what he does, but my past record of beating the best competition and other great champions shows that he is just another one of my opponents I intend to beat. He has never faced anyone like me before and I think that will be a big factor on May 1 when I plan to show him just what it means to meet a true champion in the ring.”

TheSweetScience.com also reported that Schaefer predicted that the Mayweather-Mosley bout would generate 3 million buys. This is higher than the 2.7 million PPV buys record held by the 2007 fight between Mayweather and Oscar de la Hoya.

MIAMI – Dwyane Wade scored 35 points with 12 assists Tuesday as Miami snapped a four-game skid with a 110-106 NBA victory over the depleted but determined Golden State Warriors.

Quentin Richardson scored 15, including two big three-pointers in the final minutes, for the Heat, who remained one game under .500 but moved one half-game ahead of Charlotte for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

Miami are now just two games behind of Toronto, who go into Wednesday holding the fifth spot in the East.

"It'll be a dogfight all the way to the end," Wade predicted.

In the meantime, the Heat had all they could handle from the Warriors, who are 25 games below .500 and out of the Western Conference playoff race. To make matters worse, Golden State dressed only eight players - the league minimum - and they mustered that many by signing a development-league player earlier in the day.

Even so, they played with intensity, coach Don Nelson pacing the sideline and Ronny Turiaf exhorting his teammates in the final minutes.

"We made them play, didn't we?" Nelson said. "We've got no complaints. We played our behinds off. We were able to stay in the game and have a chance to win. We'll take it."

Anthony Morrow scored 24 points, CJ Watson had 20 and Stephen Curry added 18 for Golden State, who had a chance to tie the contest with five seconds remaining.

Turiaf couldn't get a grip on a pass from Curry, Miami's Arroyo made two free throws and the Heat sealed the victory.

Turiaf finished with 15 points for Golden State, who inked Reggie Williams to a 10-day contract after calling him up from the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Williams scored 10 points.

The Warriors were missing leading scorer Monta Ellis and center Andris Biedrins, both injured.

Michael Beasley added 15 points for Miami, while Jermaine O'Neal and Carlos Arroyo had 14 apiece.

"We knew we had to fight it out," Wade said. "And at the end, we could win it."

The world's greatest boxing promoter Don King has told British world champions David Haye and Amir Khan to "act like Churchill and shock the world!" King believes that Haye can be a superstar at heavyweight but believes the Londoner is not being bold enough -and he is worried that Khan will stay in the shadows.

Haye defends his WBA heavyweight title against former King fighter John Ruiz on April 3 at the MEN in Manchester and legendary promoter King is convinced Haye will become a major attraction. "They can be British heroes like Churchill but they need to be bold and not turn away from a fight," stormed King.

"Haye can be a big star at heavyweight and he has to realise that and start acting like a star at the negotiating table.

"There is demand for Haye and it reminds me of when I promised Ali and Foreman five million dollars each for their fight - people said that I was mad.

"It was the biggest purse in boxing history at the time and I went out and made it possible.

"I knew the value of that epic encounter and I delivered on my promise and the world got the fight it wanted.

"David needs to realise that right now he is the great attraction in the heavyweight division and he needs to act like it."

Khan plans to defend his WBA light-welterweight title against former Ricky Hatton victim Paulie Malignaggi in New York on May 15 but King remains unconvinced.

"I told Amir that he has to come out of hiding and fight one of the champions," added King.

"I had a fight with my world champion Devon Alexander lined up but Amir ran away for his promoter Frank Warren and ran away from the deal.

"Amir is a nice young man but he needs to come out of hiding and get on the bus to the big time.

"There are bigger and better and far more beautiful fights out there for a gifted boxer like Amir.

"He needs to look at all the other champions at his weight and make a decision - does he want to be a secret or be a British hero?"

HOLLYWOOD--Couldn't somebody have sprayed ginger ale on somebody? Why no hyphenated curse words?

After seeing this set of pictures of the Floyd Mayweather-Sugar Shane Mosley kickoff press conference in New York, I am glad to report that I was in Pacland rather than my home city.

Grown men hugging it out doesn't do much for this wizened fight correspondent.

I told Manny Pacquiao that there was some pushing and shoving between Floyd and Shane but that they looked more like gagsters who couldn't keep a straight face in their scripted melee.

As usual, Manny just laughed. He thinks that it's all nonsense.

May I suggest some theme music for the May 1 promotion based on the photos?

An engineering student stood before a military tribunal yesterday, charged with "disseminating false information" and "tarnishing the image of the military."

Ahmed Mostafa, who studied at the University of Kafr el-Sheikh, was arrested last week on the orders of Egypt's military prosecutor.

In February, Mostafa had written a piece on his blog, "What's Wrong with my Homeland?," that recounted how a student was forced out of a military school so another applicant could have his place.

A lawyer following the case told Al Masry Al Youm that "[t]his isn't the first time for Mostafa’s blog to fall under scrutiny [...] Last year, he was summoned by officials of the Armed Forces on a friendly basis, who explained the problem to him."

Mostafa is being tried under the 1966 Military Courts Law. This law has been used since 1992 to prosecute those threatening national security. In Egypt, the line between "threats to national security" and threats to Hosni Mubarak's National Democratic Party (NDP) is often blurred. Mubarak has governed under emergency law since the assassination of President Anwar Sadat in 1981. Furthermore, Ahmed Mostafa has been active in opposition politics. He was a member of the 6 April group, which used the internet to organize a general strike in 2008.

If Mostafa loses his case, he has one chance at an appeal through a military high appeals court. Significantly, only President Mubarak himself can strike the ruling of an appeals court.

The UN's Universal Periodic review recently stated that Egypt's bloggers and journalists are some of the most harassed in the world.

In December, a blogger lost his job over attempts to organize a trade union at government-owned Petrotrade. Shortly thereafter, police raided the home of another blogger, this time one who had exposed videos of police torture.

"[In Ahmed Mostafa's case]," a lawyer told Al Masry Al Youm, "We're trying to defend [him] on the basis that he didn’t disclose any secrets but was simply reporting on a case of corruption inside the [military ]school, which had to be exposed. Nothing in his blog post harms national security. We hope this fact will reduce his sentence or lead to his release with a fine."

MANILA, Philippines – Former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion Joshua Clottey of Ghana will have to change his strategy if he wants to beat pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao on March 13, a boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) trainer said.

“He will have to open up his offensive game if he plans on beating a guy like Pacquiao and I just don't know if he has that in him at this late stage of his career,” Ron Frazier told Percy Crawford of FightHype.com.

Frazier is a trainer at Xtreme Couture, which is owned by former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, Randy Couture.

The trainer holds private lessons and boxing lessons (beginner, intermediate and advanced sparring). He is also the head coach of Xtreme Couture’s professional and amateur MMA teams.

Frazier said the Ghanian will find it difficult to upend Pacquiao given the Filipino’s immense speed and power.

“Clottey is just not busy enough. He's a tough guy, a big guy and very durable and he's a tough task for anybody, but just because he doesn't open up offensively, it's very difficult for him to outpoint a guy like Manny Pacquiao, a guy that has perpetual motion and constantly changing angles,” he noted.

The 7-division world champion Pacquiao (50-3-2, with 38 knockouts) will defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight belt against Clottey (35-3, with 20 KOs) at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
